Kimberly and Brian were married at the Liberty Hotel in Boston. I was excited to be a part of their day since I photographed Kimberly’s sister, Jill’s wedding. I love reconnecting with families and seeing them again and again. (I also did Jill + Nils’ newborn session!) Staying connected through social media is awesome for me. It gives the opportunity to follow my clients and their lives together after sharing in such special moments!
Kimberly and Brian met 10 years ago while studying at Northeastern University in Boston. They dated through college and then long distance for a few years while Brian played hockey around the country. They settled down in Virginia together where Brian owns a business and Kimberly is a pediatric nurse on an organ transplant unit. The couple chose to come back to Boston for their wedding location to come full circle to where it all began.
I was with the girls when they were getting ready. As her “Something Borrowed” Kimberly wore her sister’s Badgley Mischka wedding shoes, which looked stunning with her Lian Carlo dress! My amazing second shooter, April K, was with groomsmen while they got ready. Kimberly and Brian had their first look in the Ebersole Suite at the hotel. It has an amazing view and the sun was shining so brightly!
I’ve worked with Blooms of Hope a few times now and Nicole is amazing! Her floral designs were an important part of what made this wedding so pretty. Kimberly carried a bouquet of white peonies, Tibet roses and calla lilies tied with an ivory stain ribbon, while her bridesmaids held bouquets of pink peonies, Sahara roses and peach hypericum berries. The light champagne, whites, and blush colors of the flowers and dresses richly contrasted the dark metals and interior of the hotel.Kimberly and Brian carried a ‘key’ theme throughout their wedding to symbolize both that the venue used to be an iconic Boston jail, as well as having the key to each other’s hearts to unlock their future together.
Cheers to you, Kimberly and Brian! It was wonderful to be a part of your day!
